Swedish Interior Design With Indonesian Decor
Have you ever thought about what will happen if a Swedish interior design is integrated with Indonesian decor? Here is an example of the design marriage between two countries, Sweden and Indonesia. This house was decorated by my Swedish friend, Isabelle, with Indonesian furniture and decorative items. I love the contrast of dark wood which is commonly seen in Indonesian design in the white surroundings and with white decor which is commonly seen in Scandinavian design. Isabelle made her home in Jakarta into a beautiful Scandinavian home using items she sourced in Jakarta, Indonesia.
I love all the white lamps she has! The lamp on the left was made at a pottery store called Galeri Pot in Kemang and the lamp on the right was purchased at Confetti. Galeri Pot has many reasonably priced vases, pots and lamps. They can make any pots that they sell at their store into a lamp. I love her white carved lamp so much that I also bought one in white. I highly recommend checking it out if you have not.

My kids had a play date at my Swedish friend, Isabelle’s. While they played, I chat with Isabelle, the mom, and also took photos at her beautiful home. My girls had a good time playing with four boys. Lucky them! They also enjoyed water guns. Maybe time for us to buy some for my girls as well?
