Trupsel is an Indo-Western fashion brand founded by two Indian sisters, Trupti and Preeti, who are natives of Mumbai. There are many Indian and Indo-Western brands in Mumbai and I have seen some in the past 2 and a half years. Trupsel has the most beautiful and stylish items that I have seen in Mumbai. The colors, textiles, designs and embroidery at Trupsel are stunning.
I imagine that Trupsel attracts many brides besides regular shoppers who come to buy special occasion dresses. If I could live in India longer, maybe I would be able to justify spending money to buy one Trupsel’s gorgeous formal dress. In India, there are many occasions and gatherings where women dress up in lovely saris and lehengas. To me beautiful women in their Indian clothing are eye candies and it is entertaining to watch ladies fashion when I go to events in town.
5/9 at Trupsel
I learned about Trupsel through my American friend, Rachel, who introduced me to Trupti and Preeti right before Trupsel’s new line called 5/9 was launched. 5/9 was created since many of Trupsel’s clients admire what Trupti and Preeti wear and wanted them to create western clothes that they would wear. Thus, 5/9 was born. Every time I see them, I want to wear what they wear as well.
I had a privilege to model for the 5/9 at Trupsel thanks to Rachel, Trupti and Preeti. You can see their 5/9 clothing that I wore in 5/9 at Trupsel. You can also see other photos of their 5/9 clothes in a post about behind the scene of the photo shoot “5/9 at Trupsel Photo Shoot” with a beautiful model, Anjuli.
I dropped by Trupsel one day as I had another engagement in Colaba. I didn’t give Trupti and Preeti much warning, but they were very sweet and welcoming. They let me take photos of their beautiful shop. I admire their shop for its stylish design and asked them who designed. They themselves designed their shop with contractors to do the job. They have great eye for design!!
They both are very down to earth, sweet and open people. I hope you will be able to meet them when you go visit the Trupsel shop. Seeing Trupti and Preeti interact with each other makes me miss my 3 sisters. I grew up very close to them, but now I live very far away from them. Anyways, what a talented duo!
I hope you have enjoyed seeing the lovely details of Trupsel’s fashion line through my lens!!
