I fell in love with the Eames Plastic Molded Armchair by Herman Miller, but I cannot afford the real Herman Miller chair, so I went to a local furniture and interior store, Informa in the Gandaria City Mall and got a replica. By the way, Gandaria City Shopping Mall is one of my favorite shopping malls in Jakarta. It’s nice and have many brands, but kind of chill and not as crowded as other malls. The replica Herman Miller Eames chair cost me about US$80. I decided to buy it because chairs create the mood of the room and it’s not heavy, so packing and shipping it to our next post should be easy. Now I’m looking at another Herman Miller Eames replica chair because I like it very much.
This is the photo taken exactly 2 years ago with my Canon PowerShot IS 3S. I feel like it sometimes took better photos especially indoors than my current Canon EOS Rebel T3. Interesting.
I realized how much stuff we have accumulated in the past two years. Granted we have another addition, a baby boy, who joined our family this past February, but still I feel like I managed to clutter our house in the past two years.
When you look closely around the middle area of the book shelves, you might wonder what that white basket is about. I purchased this organizer basket at Cayenne, one of my favorite stores in Jakarta. I use it to organize baby items. I used to have the Cayenne white basket in the pack and play bassinet just like in the photos which I use as a changing table still now. Now my son moves so much it has become dangerous to keep a basket with some stuff that we don’t want him to touch on the bassinet, so I put it on a book shelf.
Looking at and comparing my old pictures with new ones, I realized that we have accumulated a lot in the last two years. I would like to get rid of items in general that we won’t need any more. Decluttering my home is definitely my next project…
